OUR STORY
A little about the Clark Family and our cattle...
At the base of the breathtaking Beartooth Mountains in Fishtail, Montana, Clark Red Angus is a proud family-owned and operated ranch led by Ryan and Lindsey Clark, alongside our kids, Lainey, Ryle, and Harper. Built on strong family values and a deep-rooted passion for the cattle industry, Clark Red Angus is committed to producing high-quality, functional cattle designed to thrive in real-world conditions.
Ryan, a Montana native, has been immersed in the state’s cattle industry his entire life and began raising Red Angus in 1995, at the age of 15. He earned his Animal Science degree from Montana State University in 2002. Lindsey was raised on a commercial cow/calf operation in Ellensburg, Washington, and earned degrees in Animal Science and Agricultural Economics from Washington State University before completing her Master’s degree in ruminant nutrition at Montana State University in 2005. Ryan and Lindsey met in Bozeman and were later married by respected friend, mentor, and fellow Red Angus breeder Larry Melhoff of 5L Red Angus.
The Clark Red Angus program is built on a strong maternal foundation, drawing from the highly regarded Feddes, C-T, 5L, Larson, and Glacier herds. We are grateful for the mentorship, support, and lasting friendships these programs have provided over the years.
In addition to our registered Red Angus program, the Clark cowherd includes a commercial base of red and black Angus and Angus-cross females. We raise and market registered Red Angus bulls annually through the respected Feddes/C-T Production Sale. Commercial females are available private treaty at the ranch, and feeder calves are marketed private treaty each fall.
We at Clark Red Angus are dedicated to producing sound, productive cattle backed by integrity, industry knowledge, and a true commitment to their customers.
