We at Clark Red Angus don’t chase extremes in any one trait, we strive to produce balance in all traits. Producing efficient, long but deep bodied, easy-fleshing, moderate-framed cattle combined with performance and carcass is what we are strive to accomplish. Females must breed back on time and bring in a calf each year. This is what keeps us, and all commercial cattleman, in business.
Structural correctness with sound feet and good udders, are a top priority and provide longevity and maintenance free cattle. We believe stacking generations with this balanced approach will result in bulls that will produce a more predictable and uniform calf crop. Cattle that can check all these boxes at an acceptable level are much more profitable than ones that can only check one or two at an extreme.
